These terms are the agreement between you and Vupie for the use of vupie.com and the Vupie service. Read them together with the pricing page, which states the current plans and prices, and the privacy policy, which describes how personal data is handled. 1. Acceptance of these terms
By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company, and "you" in these terms means the company. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
2. Who may use the service
Vupie is a tool for businesses. The service is offered for business use, not for consumers. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for making sure that your use of the service, and the content you publish through it, is lawful in the places where you operate.
3. The service
Vupie researches, writes and publishes articles for your website, connects customer sites in a mention network, and measures the results. In outline, the service consists of:
- Content research and article drafting from retrieved sources, with a citation list on every article and a quality gate that scores each draft before it can publish.
- Publishing to your own CMS through its native API, or to a blog Vupie hosts on your own domain.
- The mention network, in which customer sites link to and cite each other under the rules in section 12.
- Measurement: keyword tracking, index verification, Search Console and Analytics reporting, and AI visibility measurement reported with confidence intervals.
What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page. Plan contents can differ in article count, languages, markets, tracked keywords and sites, and the pricing page is the authoritative statement of them.
4. Closed beta and the waitlist
Vupie is in closed beta and onboards in waves. Registration places you on the waitlist. Joining the waitlist stores the name, email address, website and interest you submit, together with your IP address. It creates no subscription and no payment obligation. When your spot opens, you can start the trial described in section 7.
5. Your account
An account is identified by your name, your email address and a hash of your password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, tell us at [email protected] and change your password. We may suspend an account to protect it or to protect the service while we investigate suspected misuse.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
The prices on the pricing page are the prices you pay. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually; annual billing is 20 percent less. Multi-site discounts apply automatically by site count and stack with annual billing. Add-ons are billed monthly and can be removed at any time. There is no setup fee on any plan. A free Publisher tier exists and requires no card. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal at the earliest, and we will tell you before it takes effect. If you do not accept a price change, cancel before the renewal.
Cancellation is one click in the Billing section of your account. It takes effect immediately and a confirmation email follows: publishing stops, the subscription does not renew, and you are not charged again. There is no retention call and no chat flow. After cancellation, every article you published remains exportable, links your site earned through the network stay live, and blogs Vupie hosts for you remain online and exportable for twelve months, so you have time to move them without any URL going dark.
7. The seven-day trial
When your waitlist spot opens, the trial runs for seven days on the plan you picked. You can cancel in one click at any point inside it. Trial articles carry a visible watermark; subscribing removes the watermark from everything the trial produced. Sites referred by a partner skip the trial and start on the free Publisher tier.
8. Refunds
Any charge can be refunded within seven days of the charge, from inside the app. The refund runs automatically, with no approval step and no call. Outside that seven-day window, charges are not refundable, except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude.
9. Your content and ownership
Articles the service produces for you are yours. You own them, you can export every one of them in one click, and ownership does not end when the subscription does. Content and data you provide to the service, including your voice profile, your connected analytics and the answers you give during research, remain yours, and you confirm that you have the rights needed to provide them.
You grant Vupie only the licence needed to operate the service: to store and process your content, to display it to you in the app, to publish it where you have told us to publish it, and to place network mentions under the rules in section 12. We claim no other rights in your content. The service itself, its software, its design and its branding remain Vupie's, and these terms grant no rights in them beyond use of the service.
10. Publishing integrations
Publishing integrations connect to your own CMS accounts, such as WordPress or Shopify, using authorisations you grant. Vupie uses them only to publish and update content on your instruction. You must hold the rights to the accounts you connect, and you can revoke an authorisation at any time. If you have no CMS, Vupie can host a blog on your own domain behind one CNAME record.
11. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- Produce or publish content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is deceptive about who is speaking or what is being sold.
- Operate in the excluded niches: adult, gambling, illegal, CBD and cannabis, and gray-hat niches. These never enter the mention network. Health, finance and legal topics are blocked on the default writing pipeline, and in the network they sit behind a stricter human review.
- Misrepresent the ownership, traffic or content of a site you connect, or connect a site you do not control.
- Attempt to game the mention network: manipulating match signals, arranging reciprocal placements, or buying or selling placements outside the credit system.
- Probe, overload or disrupt the service, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
- Resell access to the service, except through plans built for it, such as Agency.
We may decline, hold or remove content, and suspend network participation, where this section is violated.
12. The mention network
The mention network connects customer sites so they can link to and cite each other inside topically matching paragraphs. Participation is governed by rules that apply to every site on every plan:
- A site enters the network only after ownership verification and entry checks covering publishing history, indexation, spam signals, content quality and niche classification.
- Every placement is listed in a ledger you can read: the domain, the anchor, the status, the date and the reason the matcher chose it. Placements are re-verified daily once live, and a placement that fails verification is refunded or replaced.
- Per-site caps apply on both sides. The default ceiling is 8 placements received per site per month; you can lower it, and it never rises without your action.
- You can opt out at any time, entirely or as give-only or receive-only, and you can exclude niches or specific domains from being matched with your site. Opting out does not affect articles, measurement or any other feature.
- You can export a disavow file covering the network placements you want to renounce, in the format Search Console accepts.
- Network health is monitored daily. If several sites drop at once, all new placements freeze automatically, and only a human review can unfreeze them.
We do not promise a quantity of placements, and we do not promise a domain authority figure. Matching depends on the inventory of niche-relevant sites in the network at the time.
13. Link credits
Credits govern the mention network. They are earned by hosting placements, granted when a site is verified, or bought as a top-up at the prices on the pricing page. Unused credits roll over. Credits are spendable inside the network only: they have no monetary value, they cannot be transferred, and they are never redeemable for money. Because credits are never redeemable for money, no payout of credits occurs when an account closes.
14. AI-generated content and provenance
Articles are drafted by AI models from retrieved sources, reviewed by a model from a different vendor than the one that wrote the draft, and scored by a quality gate before they can publish. Publishing is draft-first by default: an article publishes when you approve it. If you enable automatic publishing, you remain responsible for what is published to your properties.
Each article keeps a signed provenance record: which models were involved, when, from which sources, and who approved it. If the system modifies an article after approval, the approval lapses and has to be given again. AI-generated images are written out with IPTC DigitalSourceType metadata, so the provenance travels with the file. You hold editorial responsibility for the content you publish. We provide these records and mechanics; we do not claim that the service makes you compliant with the EU AI Act or any other regulation.
15. Data protection
Hosting and data storage are in the European Union. A data processing agreement is part of signup. Your content and your data are not used to train models. Every subprocessor is documented. Consent on this website is managed through Passiro. Requests for access, export or deletion of personal data go to [email protected]. The privacy policy describes all of this in detail.
16. What we do not promise
Search engines and answer engines are outside our control, and honest terms say so plainly:
- We do not promise rankings, positions or traffic, and we do not promise results within a fixed number of days.
- We do not promise that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or any other engine will cite you. We measure whether they do, and we report it with confidence intervals.
- We do not promise immunity from search engine actions or policy changes. Nobody can.
- We do not promise that any automated pipeline is error-free. Every claim in an article is checked against the source it cites, and unsupported statements are revised or held, but you should review what is published under your name.
The service is provided as available. We work to keep it running and to fix faults promptly, and we do not warrant uninterrupted or fault-free operation.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vupie's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid to Vupie in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. To the same extent, Vupie is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, or the decisions and actions of search engines, answer engines or other third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.
18. Suspension and termination
You can cancel and close your account at any time, as described in section 6. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, publish unlawful content through the service, abuse the mention network, or fail to pay. Where the problem can be fixed, we will tell you what it is and give you the chance to fix it before termination. Export your articles before your account closes. Sections of these terms that by their nature survive, including sections 9, 13, 17 and 20, survive termination.
19. Changes to the service and to these terms
The service will change: features are added, adjusted and sometimes removed, and the closed beta means the pace of change is high. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.
We may update these terms. For a material change we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, cancel before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance. The date at the top of this page states when the terms were last updated.
20. Governing law and disputes
Vupie operates from Denmark. These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes arising out of or relating to them are subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts. If you have a complaint, write to [email protected] first; most issues are resolved without anyone going to court.
