Entry rules
What a site clears before it can host a link.
Entry is a set of checks: verified ownership, a regular publishing history, articles present in the sitemap, no hard paywall, indexation, spam signals, and a content-quality review that is repeated quarterly. The checks are the same on every plan.
A placement then requires a topical match above threshold, the same language, an authority band within one step, and a reciprocity ratio below 25 percent on both sides. YMYL topics pass a stricter review, and excluded niches never enter.
The rules below are enforced in the matcher. If a rule would be broken, the placement is not built.
Verified ownership and publishing history
A site enters only after ownership is verified and it shows a regular publishing history, with its articles in the sitemap and no hard paywall.
A niche threshold you can see
Topic overlap has to clear a threshold before a match is proposed, and the match score is printed on every placement in your ledger.
Per-site caps
Each site hosts a limited number of placements per month, and you set your own ceiling on placements received. The default is 8 a month.
Two placements per pair per year
Any two sites can appear together at most twice in twelve months, and a reversed pair is blocked for twelve months. Referring domains spread instead of concentrating.
No reciprocal pairs
If A links to B, B does not link back to A. Placements route as rings, A to B to C to A, so no pair ever trades links. The numeric ceilings live in the safety rules below.
Daily verification
Every live placement is checked each day: the page returns 200, the link is present and dofollow, the hosting article is still indexed. A failed check refunds the credits and queues a replacement.
Replacement queue
A placement that is removed, redirected or deindexed enters the replacement queue, and the matcher places it in the next eligible article at no credit cost.
Automatic freeze
Clicks, impressions and indexed pages are tracked daily across every site. If several sites drop at once, new issuance freezes automatically and only a human can unfreeze it.
Narrow entry has a cost. Every site in the network is a domain your name will sit next to. Narrow entry means fewer eligible matches and slower placement. We do not promise a quantity or domain authority value of links: when there is no relevant match, the slot stays empty and an external source takes its place.

When one of your articles matches another member's topic, Vupie places a contextual link in it and your site earns credits at its tier rate. Every outbound placement is visible before and after it happens.

The rates are fixed and published. Hosting a link earns your site's tier rate. Receiving a link costs the giver's rate: a link from a Tier 1 site costs 5 credits, from a Tier 4 site 1.
Stronger publishers earn more per hosted link, and their links cost more to receive. The rate card is the whole pricing model, and it applies the same way on every plan.

Newer sites that cleared the same checks
Tiers are a composite score, not Domain Rating. Domain Rating is one input alongside estimated organic traffic and its six-month trend, spam signals, outbound link load, indexation health and site age. The score is recomputed weekly, and Domain Rating never decides a tier on its own.
Constraints
Six rules that keep the network clean.
Each one is checked before a placement is built. If a constraint would be broken, the link is not built and the slot stays empty.
No reciprocal pairs
If site A links to site B, B does not link back to A. Placements route as rings instead, A to B to C to A. A hard ceiling holds each site below 25 percent reciprocity, because roughly 19 percent occurs naturally and higher concentrations inside small clusters of domains are the pattern spam systems look for.
Two placements per pair per year
Any two sites can appear together at most twice in twelve months, and a reversed pair is blocked for twelve months. Referring domains spread across independent sites instead of concentrating between a few.
Natural anchors
Branded and partial-match anchors, generated from the sentence around the link. Exact-match commercial anchors are rejected before a placement is proposed.
Network links stay a minority
Network links are always a minority of an article's outbound links. The rest cite sources, standards and tools. A link is only placed in a paragraph whose topic matches the target page.
Per-site caps on both sides
The default ceiling is 8 placements received per site per month. You can lower it, and it never rises without your action. A separate cap limits how much any one site is asked to host.
Automatic freeze
Clicks, impressions and indexed pages are tracked daily across the network. A simultaneous drop across several sites freezes all new issuance. Unfreezing is manual.
Excluded niches and the YMYL gate. Adult, gambling, illegal, CBD and cannabis, and gray-hat niches never enter the network. YMYL topics, meaning health, finance and legal, pass a stricter human review before a site can give or receive links in them.

The monthly cap, the opt-out and the disavow export are settings in your account. They belong to you, not to us.

After a placement is live
What happens when a placement breaks.
Every placement is re-verified daily. When a check fails, the credit and the replacement are handled by the system rather than by a support ticket.

Every placement is checked each day: the page returns 200, the link is present and dofollow, and the hosting article is still indexed.
If a link goes nofollow
Credits are refunded to the receiver, the giver earns nothing, and the publisher gets fix instructions. The status change appears in your ledger the same day.
If a placement is removed
Removed, redirected or deindexed, the placement enters the replacement queue and the matcher places it in the next eligible article at no credit cost.
If a publisher leaves
Every link that publisher hosted is re-placed across other eligible sites, at no credit cost to the receivers.
If you cancel: the placements your site earned stay live. They are not withdrawn when the subscription ends.

No. A private blog network is a set of domains held by one operator to pass rank. These are independently owned business sites, each with verified ownership, each publishing for its own audience, each subject to the same checks and the same quarterly content review. There are no reciprocal pairs, anchors stay natural, network links are a minority of an article's outbound links, and both sides can read the placement and its match log.
Adding sites that fail the entry checks would grow the inventory and lower what a placement is worth, including yours. Narrow entry means fewer eligible matches and slower placement, which is why we do not promise a number of links.
